    Join Tom Mendola (from Tucson) and friends for an afternoon of Yoga Sutras, sound exploration and group toning. Through the power, compassion and attenuation of the human voice, the two aspects of the self, the personal self (Prakriti) and the Divine self (Purusha) will be expressed. Explore the unity of our individual tones integrating into the Divine self. Concurrently there will be playful experimentation of creating asana mandalas while chanting mantras.

    This one-hour documentary chronicles the ancient teachings of yoga into the life of

Sri Swami Satchidananda. He was a disciple of renowned guru, Sri Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh. Sri Swami Satchidananda lived a life of service, inspiring others through his own example of inner peace, spiritual insights and wisdom. His move to the West in 1966 created a profound and lasting impression, emphasizing world peace,

    Practice the ancient art/science of Hatha Yoga in a beautiful, tranquil environment.

   Emphasis is on inner awareness through the flow of asanas, pranayama,

                                           meditation, mantras and mudras.

 DAY RETREAT INCLUDES:

     Two yoga sessions, lunch with a mid-day break to explore the grounds of the        monastery. Rest inside the yoga sanctuary, read, meet with friends, meditate at the ponds, walk to the San Pedro River, shop the monastery bookstore.
